A Transformational Engagement Model (TEM) is developed to understand how partnerships between university and community partners may transform from mutually beneficial to both mutually beneficial and reciprocal. Accordingly, TEM provides an opportunity to understand justice not only by focusing on what one gets but also how individuals engage together.
